Greetings and Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the official website of the Tau Kappa Zeta graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  Zeta Phi Beta was founded on the campus of Howard University on January 16, 1920. Our beloved Sorority’s has more than 120,000 members worldwide, including chapters located in USA, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean.  The organization has been innovative in that it has chronicled a number of firsts.  It was the first National Pan-Hellenic Council organization to centralize its operations in a national headquarters, first to charter a chapter in Africa, first to form auxiliary groups, and first to be constitutionally bound to a fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Since 2003, the ladies of Tau Kappa Zeta graduate chapter have served St. Tammany Parish through community service, scholarship, and other programs that correlate with our Sorority’s initiative Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) through Mind, Body and Spirit serve to empower people from all walks of life.  We take pride in our continued participation in transforming communities through volunteer service; and, we have collaborated with the local chapters of the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association, March of Dimes, Slidell Memorial Hospital, Keep Slidell Beautiful, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana – just to name a few.  Our chapter continually works on our national programs:  Zeta Prematurity Awareness Program (ZPAP), Adopt-A-School, Elder Care (and Abuse Prevention), International Women of Color, and Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  For 14 years, Tau Kappa Zeta has been an active partner with many local schools, businesses, community and civic organizations and we are honored to have the continued support and collaboration of our partners and looking forward to forging new partnerships within the St. Tammany Parish community.

I invite you to explore our website; like our Facebook page; join us at one of our upcoming activities; and, watch as the ladies of Tau Kappa Zeta continue to serve the St. Tammany Parish community while “building on the principles of Zeta while blazing new paths!”

Best Regards,
